Ernie Johnson had the worst call in the history of baseball on Granderson's two run triple. Historically awful.

Didn't hear it. But Ron Darling is one of the best color guys in baseball probably. And having Ripken and Eck in the studio is freaking awesome.

No, it was a great call. It allowed me to suspend my belief that the Twins hadn't blown it for a few more seconds despite what I was seeing before my eyes. Plus it pissed off Yankees' fans.

That was funny. Especially the random lengthy spaces between words.
I'm glad we booed Ernie Johnson last year at the NLCS ceremony.

Dave Cameron would not be happy if he saw what was said about his beloved Mariners.

It's a basketball call, basically. When a lead changes in the middle of a basketball game, it's not a huge deal because lead changes happen so frequently in the NBA.

He used the same cadence as he would for "Bryant hits the jumper for 2 and the Lakers have tied it up."

I don't know why it never occurred to me to make the analog before just this minute, and I'm sure someone else before me probably has made it, though I've never seen it done anywhere, but errors are baseball's turnovers. When you committ one, you give the other team what is essentially an extra "possession," or attempt at offense.

The Reds essentially committed four turnovers today.

The Kid Rock playoff song reminds of those "Real Men of Genius" ads.

Similar voice. Funny that the latter is a joke and the former is supposed to be serious.

Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin said Sunday that he is hoping to be considered for the Blue Jays' managerial opening.

Mackanin first wants to focus on guiding his Phillies as far as possible in this year's postseason, but he's familiar with Toronto's system and is hoping to be considered as a possible successor to Cito Gaston. "Toronto has a lot of good players," Mackanin told the Toronto Sun. "We don’t see them a lot, being in the other league. Everyone knows about their power potential. I really liked what I saw of Ricky Romero and Shaun Marcum."

Someone please send them TMac's reel and tell them we'll throw in their choice of Wheels or Sarge at no extra cost.
