you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

The Phillies are first in all of MLB in attendance per game.

Fangraphs recently invented a new stat for ineffective relief pitching performances called Meltdowns (explanation here if you haven't seen it yet). Danys Baez led the MLB in meltdowns last year with 17. Lidge had 15 by comparison

Larry LaRue of the Tacoma News Tribune reports that veteran Ken Griffey Jr. could be released this month by the Mariners.
Junior, now 40, is batting a miserable .205/.265/.234 in 77 at-bats this season with only two extra-base hits and zero home runs. He's not providing offense at the DH position and has shown a lack of interest in competing, at one point falling asleep in the M's clubhouse in the middle of a game. The fans of Safeco Field still dig him, for the most part, but it's time for a change in Seattle. Griffey is a .284/.370/.539 career hitter with 630 home runs over 21 seasons. Perhaps he will save them the trouble and simply retire.

I would come off the Platt Bridge, onto Pattison, turn left on 20th, then right on the next street, Hartranft. Every week, cops would position their cars in the middle of the road so that traffic could still get through, but you were cautioned to go slowly.

This week, the cop wouldn't let me through. He told me I couldn't park on that street. I told him I wasn't parking on the street, I was going to the stadium parking lot. He said he wouldn't let me through and that the neighbors are pissed off. He repeated himself about three times saying the neighbors are too pissed off about people parking on their street.

I backed out and continued up 20th to Packer and saw street after street blocked with cops. So just an FYI to those that normally do the same, looks like we'll be sticking to the main roads from now on.

I remember when you could park on Pattison around FDR park. Who complained about that?

HighCheese

Manuel said Contreras would've closed even with a 1 run lead. They were trying to stay away from Lidge. Didn't really get an answer why

If we win 101 games this year (on pace for 101 wins), the Phillies will have averaged (w/ rounding) 89 wins over the past decade.

It's going to be like this all year with Lidge. They need to take him out of the closer role. Charlie can't get into the habit of not using Contreras because he doesn't know how Lidge is going to feel on any given night. Make Contreras the closer now, at least until Lidge can establish he can pitch for a month with regular usage without breaking down or sucking a la 2009.

According to fangraphs, Lidge's fastball is down to 92.3 mph from 93.6 last year, 94.3 in 1998 and 95.4 in 2007. Small sample size, I know, but maybe that explains why he has thrown his slider an unbelieveable 65% of the time.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.
