I liked last year's better, but I'll probably get that white one anyway

I don't know, fellas, that hats looks like the final piece in the South Philly standard outfit of knee length jorts, white socks, white tennis shoes, XXL tee, extended overbite and line beard.

Is that the cream color from the home alternates? I like that.

If the P didn't have the flag in it, this would be pretty sweet.

When I'm about to buy an article of clothing, I ask myself, "Is this something Scott Olsen would wear?" In this case, the answer--sadly--is yes.

It's off-white because teams aren't allowed to have white hats (too distracting), but all 30 teams will be using this color. It's the latest in the stars & stripes line following the ones from the last two years...

To my shock and dismay, I like the white hat.

Just quoting this here for anyone who might have missed it in yesterday' game thread:

Marion wrote:For countless years, I've driven a side street to get to the parking lot.
I would come off the Platt Bridge, onto Pattison, turn left on 20th, then right on the next street, Hartranft. Every week, cops would position their cars in the middle of the road so that traffic could still get through, but you were cautioned to go slowly.

This week, the cop wouldn't let me through. He told me I couldn't park on that street. I told him I wasn't parking on the street, I was going to the stadium parking lot. He said he wouldn't let me through and that the neighbors are pissed off. He repeated himself about three times saying the neighbors are too pissed off about people parking on their street.

I backed out and continued up 20th to Packer and saw street after street blocked with cops. So just an FYI to those that normally do the same, looks like we'll be sticking to the main roads from now on.

LOL. The neighbors don't want people driving on their road, so police block it off. What a weird city I live in.

(I live near a train station, and commuters often park in front of my house, forcing me to park around the corner. Maybe I can do something about it.)
