Ok Just got off the phone: What I'm being told is:

We get Halladay and cash;
We 3 prospects from the Mariners which we send to Toronto with Taylor. Happ is not in the deal.

3-year extension for Doc.

I just think Halladay + reliever + cash for Drabek, Brown and, e.g., Bastardo is a real win-win. Phils get Halladay without giving up any other piece from 2010 rotation. Jays get to say they got the Phils' best 2 prospects plus another good, young LH arm.

Amount, Triunfel.........Fields? Moore?

Those guys plus Taylor, which lets us keep Drabek and Brown is pretty damn sweet.

if it's only 3 years, it's gotta be like $25 mil per. That's a big discount in years compared to what the Yanks et al were throwing around.

First, it seems to be your childhood dream to acquire Roy Halladay, which is why you've allocated roughly 129,476 words to that quest... since December 1.

We're not giving up our top two prospects in a deal.

Yeah, he corrected it later. Lee would be going to SEA. If we're giving up Lee and Taylor for Halladay and cash, I want something else big. Maybe we can keep Morrow before having to swing him to Toronto.
