Whatever the word is for worse than screwed, and they got it.

Yea, I was going to post about this the other day. I feel for you guys. Absolute screw job and all so Louisville gets to host.

Draft is 2 weeks from today. BA hasn't started regional coverage (thought they did do position by position rankings). PGCrosschecker already really behind in their coverage. Not many tidbits about the Phillies other than KLaw's comment on Heathcott and Hudson.

Isn't the draft usually one week after Memorial Day?

MLB recommending a 10% cut in draft bonuses. Don't know whether this is an opportunity for us or whether it is a negative from the Phillies perspective.

I normally would be chopping the bit about this as well but for obvious reasons (no first rounder or comps) I'm just not too excited this year. All I know is I don't want any toolsy outfielders in the first few rounds.

I also want to mention I'm still ticked off we didn't take Christian Friedrich when he fell, can't complain about much else from last year.

It's going to be fun to watch our hitters whack the hell out of him and turn the name Strasburg into the 21st century's Van Poppel, McDonald, ETC equivalent

i'm always interested in the college outfielder group, but the phils never seem to go after that crowd with their first few picks. i think angelo songco will be there at 75 and i'd gladly take him. guys like aj pollock and tim wheeler could go in the first round or slide. i'm not too big on brett jackson or kentrail davis. kipnis would be interesting. miller will be gone.

Id prefer we take infield bats if there is one available with our first pick. We have so many outfielders right now that look promising

Love Jeff Malm, but I think he'll either go in the sandwich round, or if he falls to us in the 2nd his bonus demands will be too much.

As far as middle infielders, I like Givens, if he slides to us. Franklin seems like a switch hitting Jason Donald with better D.

Ryan Jackson is kind of interesting, he's like a college version of Galvis, not much of a hitter but a great defender. Might be there in the 3rd.

I'd actually like D.J. LeMahieu if I knew he'd sign, since hes a d-e sophomore. He's been disappointing this year, but I'm a big believer of guys who play well on the Cape, even if they struggle during the college season. Metal bats are dumb. I think that's one reason Grant Green is being underrated by a lot of the big outfits this year and will be a steal for whoever takes him.

FWIW, I've decided I want the Phillies to take Mendonca at 75.

I'd take a Hubie Brooks at this point.
