Shore hasn't been waving his pom poms for days. I wonder why that is? He's probably laying in the weeds, waiting for us to win a game, and then he'll pop up with a vintage "STFU haters" or something of the sort.

Actually, I'm just busy. And positive.

It's like dealing with 9-year-olds in here... EVERYTHING is a trend, EVERYTHING is permanent. Forest, trees, etc.

They're a good team. They're not great. If they had a great team in the division, they'd be effed. But they don't. Their management sucks, but they're succeeding anyway. They're flawed, but they'll win tonight, and they'll be in first place.

It's not that hard. I hate 1/3 of this roster, but another third - Utley/Howard/Burrell/Rollins/Hamels/Lidge - is pretty damned good, and others - Victorino, Werth, Durbin, Myers, Moyer, Kendrick, Dobbs, Blanton - have a place on a winning team. Taguchi, Condrey, Feliz... they suck, and they represent everything that's bad and/or stupid about this team, but it's just not worth the agony. I watch the stars, I root for the good guys, I pray the shit doesn't beat us.

For every wart on this team, you'll find two on the Mets. Just look.

It's not nearly as annoying as the negativity banners that unfurl with EACH BASERUNNER the other team gets.
