If this goes down, I don't understand the trade from either Florida's perspective or from Boston's perspective.

Boston is giving up the right to get the draft picks since they could just decline the option and offer arbitration, which Manny appears like he would decline to get out. Florida is agreeing not to offer arbitration and not exercise the option so they are giving up whatever they are sending for literally 2 months of Manny.
