Chollie wouldn't replace Manny, would he? I mean, if management actually spent the dough required to acquire Manny, wouldn't he be under direct orders never to replace him under any circumstances? that's the way I think the Phillies ownership would do business.

Question: If the Phils can't afford to re-sign Burrell (at, say $14 mil), will they bust budget to sign Manny for $27 mil?

Sub-question: Do they realize the additional revenues (Manny merch, etc.) might be enough to cover much of the budget bust if they handle it right?
