We were alright I guess. We won anyhow, and that's what actually counts. Our back four is terrifying. Edu got away with a couple of fouls in the box. He looked good for a lot of the time, but it's an unfamiliar position for him and it showed. The goal was nice. Altidore looked dangerous when he came on. Adu was frustrating, and is sort of a ball hog. Always seems he prefers to try and beat his man rather than pass, and he failed to beat his man an awful lot today. I guess the moral of the story is we aren't very good, or at least weren't today.
The worst part of the whole thing were the announcers. Holy hell is Marcelo Balboa terrible. Every decision the ref made was the correct one, until he decided against giving a penalty for Edu's second questionable foul in the box. Every sub the coaches made was the right one. Every statement was prefaced with "As a defender..." Almost made one long for Tommy Smyth.

??? I thought Barca wasn't letting him play.

I can't remember what previous Olympic tournaments have been like I feel like quality will be pretty fluid in these games. Our U-23 team have been worldbeaters at times and also lost to some real scrubs.
