Federer and Nadal are talking good games about caring. Course, Federer just lost, so who knows.

Huge win for Blake. In the semis, so only needs to win one of his next two to medal.

Olympic tennis is redundant because unlike other professional sports its already international, and there's no money to be won. The only thing that might make it interesting would be a national team format.

Serena Williams loses to Elene Dementieva. Venus Williams in real trouble against a Chinese lady I've never heard of. Bryan twins win their doubles match to get to the semis. In the Semis Blake gets the winner of the Fernando Gonzalez (Chile) and Henry Mathieu (France) match and then, if successful, presumably would get Nadal in the finals.

phelps' two races tonight are within a half hour of each other, but he'll evidently qualify for the 100m butterfly final as long as he doesn't fall asleep in the pool so he should be alright.

This Phelps guy, is he any good?

Another final (200m IM), another gold, another world record.

This "greatest Olympian ever" thing is kind of bogus since it's next to impossible to earn as many medals in any other sport -- there just aren't enough events. That said, you could make the case that his domination of the sport is similar to or even greater than Babe Ruth's domination of baseball.

Well, someone in track & field (like Carl Lewis) or gymnastics (considering all the different events) could also rack up tons as medals as well. But the skills are probably more disperate between different events and less likely to occur than in swimming.
