at that time nbc had just shown the phelps' heat from the morning, 8am our time. the semi wasn't until 11ish last night.

usa baseball wins game 2
donald and marson both started and i think had some hits
steven strasburg (lone college player on the team) had a no-hitter going for most of the game i guess, apparently there were some long rain delays and then the game was called due to rain in the 9th inning with the bases loaded for the netherlands with nobody out. final score was 7-0.

Shortstop Jason Donald (Phillies) who was on the bench for the opener, responded with three hits including an RBI double in his Olympic debut.
