Heh. I figured it was for another reason, considering yesterday's date, a weird day to wear green. But yeah, it was for Auerbach.

They were going to wear them on the 15th (Jackie Robinson day, no idea why they chose that day to honor auerbach as well) but then after the rain out delayed it until the first national game of this 3 game series...it's awesome that every game in this vital playoff deciding series is on national tv so we can all see it

They're a bunch of pot-heads, they wanted to honor the stoner Boston fans who touch one another in their respective states of sleep.

The Red Sox wore green uniforms to honor late Celtics patriarch Red Auerbach and black "VT" patches in memory of those who died at Virginia Tech.

What, and nothing for Anna Nicole Smith?

Reyes is 3 for 4 with a HR as the Mets have taken control of their game with the Bravos, 6-1. Perez has given up 1 run and has 8 strikeouts. Looks like I picked the wrong day to move him to my fantasy bench.

Rosenthal thinks A-Rod would get over $25M a year again this offseason, possibly from the Angels

DID YOU SEE ABREU CLAPPING HIS HANDS AFTER GETTING THAT WALK?!

Clearly he is more than happy to pass the buck. He doesn't like being "the man." FRAUD.

BKA walks for the second time off Beckett, ARod coming up with Jeter on second and Abreu on first and 2 down.

McCarver thinks Francona should bring in Donnelly.

Beckett is juiced up for this at bat....his fastball has been around 94 all game and now he's firing it in at 98.

Singles to RF....1 run scores. RBI 31 for A-Rod this year.

McCarver says leaving Beckett in is a mistake because ARod is reading him well. HELLO! ARod is hitting everything in sight no matter who's pitching.
