nats knock off the braves. they aren't nearly as bad as a lot of people think, and they're playing the division tough early. 1-1 against the mets, 1-2 against the fish and 2-2 against the braves.

soriano leaves the game for the cubbies with a hamstring injury.

Oh, they are that bad. Their starting pitching is BEYOND awful. A lot of these guys the league hasn't seen, once the book is out on them, they're toast. They'll still be lucky to win 63 games.

Rodriguez has 21 freakin' RBI already.

Not surprisingly, Abreu is second in the AL in runs, with 12 (ARod first, of course).

STEAGLES fights the world (bedard v. kazmir)

Postby steagles » Wed Apr 18, 2007 14:45:36

still waiting on the lineups, but this appears to be the game of the day.

i expect no fewer than 4 kevin millar BBs, 3 melvin mora HRs, 2 eric bedard HBPs, and 1 mound charging incident from elijah dukes.
if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

zumaya just breezed through the royals lineup in the top of the 8th.
gil meche is coming back out for the 8th inning.

meche allowed a leadoff single, then got into a 3-0 hole against sean casey. guillen was CS, and casey popped out.

sweeney got a single, gload grounded into a FC. gordon got pitched around.

teahen scored on the FC, and the game is tied.

damn. guess that means there'll be no dukes mound charging incident.
