I'm loving this sooooo much. After all the hating in NY and on ESPN for "struggling" and not being a "true Yankee," he's the only one on the effing team doing anything, and he's personally kept the team from spiraling down into a Phillies-esque pit of despair. He's personally dragged those turdsticks to at least three or four wins by himself already.
Foreskin stupid

And the Yanks are losing. This is how moronic thought processes prevail. Same thing with Abreu. See, the team can't win with him playing well, he sucks!

I saw Rocky Cherry gave up a HR to Prince Fielder in the 12th inning at Wrigley lasy night. It was Cherry's major league debut and the name sounds familiar. Did the Phils draft him at one point?

Yeah, I heard the highlight on ESPN and recalled the name too.

Todd Jones gets his second blown save of the season, this afternoon against the Angels. The Tigers fell behind 7-0 early, and scratched back, finally getting the lead in the top of the 9th on a 2-run homer by Magglio Ordonez.

So in the last of the 9th, Jones gets two out, with Vlad on 3rd (on a double and flyout). He throws a pitch in the dirt, which gets away from Pudge only about 15 - 20 feet or so, but Vlad comes in and scores the tying run.

Now in the top of the 10th.

Angels win 9-8. Todd Jones picks up the loss to go with his blown save.
Another day, another box of stolen pens.

If he is out for an extended period will they move A-Rod to SS? Or position no one there in memoriam?
Yes son. I'm the best mono-thingy guy there ever was.

dallas braden made his debut today for the a's and picked up a 4-2 win. the a's, like they do every year, have a bunch of guys on the dl, so they had a makeshift lineup consisting of danny putnam in center (is in aa and doesn't play centerfield), marco scataro in left for the first time in his career and todd walker at first.

And then look at this year already.

"Hey, at least their pitching will stink"

Nope, John Maine is incredible and Oliver Perez has put together 2 Cy Young quality starts. They are so lucky. It'll bite them sooner or later, right?
