Hmm, never responded to (or even saw) this thread before, so I might as well contribute.

Instead of listing my 10 favorite Beatles songs, I'll list my favorite Beatles song from each of their albums (their original British albums, the ones now on CD, rather than the bastardized American versions):

Please Please Me: "Please Please Me", followed closely by "Anna (Go to Him)"
With the Beatles: "It Won't Be Long"
A Hard Day's Night: "If I Fell"
Beatles for Sale: "I'll Follow the Sun"
Help!: "You're Going to Lose That Girl"
Rubber Soul: "If I Needed Someone", followed closely by "Run for Your Life"
Revolver: "Tomorrow Never Knows" followed closely by "She Said She Said"
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: honestly, none (if I had to choose, I think I'd pick "A Day in the Life")
Magical Mystery Tour: "Your Mother Should Know"
White Album: "Dear Prudence"
Yellow Submarine: "Hey Bulldog"
Abbey Road: "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" followed closely by the "Golden Slumbers" medley
Let It Be: "One After 909"
Past Masters Volume 1 (i.e. singles/EPs from the Please Please Me to Help! era): "I Feel Fine" followed closely by "She Loves You"
Past Masters Volume 2 (i.e. singles from Rubber Soul to Let It Be era): "Day Tripper" followed closely by "Rain"

His post-Beatles career would suggest otherwise

The Beatles represent the perfect group of four people who needed each other. None of them have written anything spectacular outside of the group. There were pieces of brilliance here and there for John and Paul but they needed all four to keep them grounded. Even when that hated each other they still produced masterful music. The Beatles were the best that ever was and ever will be, as a team. Actually sitting in my home office right now. Time for some Revolver.

So do I. I posted it to prove your point. Post-Beatles shit is terrible for all of them.

that's a pretty outlandish statement. while I may be in the minority, Paul, John, and George have all made solo albums I find more interesting than anything the Beatles have done, and even if you don't agree with that, I think it's a tough claim that All Things Must Pass isn't "spectacular"

Seriously, All Things Must Pass is truly spectacular, and you can make the same case for Band on the Run and Plastic Ono Band as well.

George's All Things Must Pass album is pretty awesome, imo.

EDIT: Guess I'm not the only one who thinks that.
