Why not put the wattage of microwave ovens somewhere prominent, so it's easy to know which directions to follow?

Have I complained about this before? Maybe, but I don't think it's gotten any better.

Are you saying that would be a good idea, or that it generally is?

If the first I wholeheartedly agree. If it's the second, no, not in my experience. Instead it's on a label in the back.

My oven does have helpful information in black on black not to operate the oven with a dishtowel or family pet jammed in the door, though.

Those cooking times are bs anyway. Cook it for two mins, turn it, two more, stir it, maybe 1 more. I don't think I've ever thought about the micro voltage

The annoying voice. Hard to characterize other than it's usually a woman with a high pitch, a piercing sound, and lack of volume control.

On a flight, had two nasally midwestern housewives yabbering across the aisle inanely for the full duration. That episode prompted me to drop $250 on some Bose noise-cancelling headphones.

At Dubu in Elkins Park, the Koreans chew loudly, but it was a table full of young excited Merkins who proved the most annoying - just one whiny B with a shrill piercing sound and no awareness of how everyone in the damn place could hear her. Someone needed to tell her to use her inside voice.

At an overpriced seafood joint in Boca, three well-dressed 50ish folks dined near us. 2 guys in suits and a nicely attired lady who had that damn 140 decibel broad-cast voice. Her outbursts grew increasingly annoying (and she was likely tipsy) but it all ended on a good note when she fell out of her chair. I was sure that spontaneous applause would erupt, but she crawled back into her chair and mercifully shut up for the rest of the meal. I did take great pleasure in watching the fall.
