really didnt enjoy him.

Yeah I turned it off halfway through. Lost steam after Kilborn lost focus halfway through an anecdote for the the 15th time and changed the topic. That must've been exhausting for Simmons, who isn't a great interviewer as it is.

Radiolab has a spin off called More Perfect. Each episode is about a supreme Court case or issue they've taken up. It's excellent I'd you're into politics or history or law.

I'm not a usual Radiolab listener but is this how they are typically presented? I had to turn it off after 8 minutes. Don't like the style.

I'm really enjoying Bryan Curtis' sports media podcasts for The Ringer. Love his flow and approach

The last one about tv critics was a really enjoyable, quick listen. I really wish more podcasts would stick to a ~30 minute format. It's one thing if you're doing interviews, but 75-minute episodes multiple days per week... I just end up deleting so many of them.

I subscribed to the feed yesterday but haven't listened to any eps yet. I'll be sure to bump it up my playlist.

really pisses me off when podcasts can't equalize the voices. tried to listen to Woj/Dunn the other day at work. Woj was annoyingly loud because Dunn has a deep voice and you have to turn it up. is that really so fucking hard to fix?

The MLB podcasts are terrible at this. I can rarely ever hear Zolecki but the host is usually a reasonable volume.

Format is strange to me, but like Cal said, it's easy to catch onto. Thanks for sharing it!

The This American Life about fat people has some very interesting moments. I'm still a bit of a fat person bigot but I'm trying to temper it with some sympathy and good old fashion understanding.

Different viewpoints of fat acceptance, basically. The piece that their producer did was a little tough to listen to at points. It was a good listen. Also, fat shaming, like basically any shaming, is bad.

I liked the one ep 2 (I think that's the one radiolab played last week). Good stuff. Will subscribe.

good opinion piece to tag along with the latest Radiolab Law and Order episode:
http://jezebel.com/all-the-greedy-young ... 1782508801

didn't realize this girl had those grades. she labeled them as becky with the bad grades but i would think a 3.59 and an 1180 SAT is accomplished enough in high school. i'm not taking a stand for her, just thought it was interesting.

interesting episode overall though. never really heard about these kind of lawsuits before.

i say this without finishing the more perfect this week or reading that...but doesn't Texas have a system where if you hit X GPA (and maybe Y SAT) then you're automatically in? If you don't hit that I imagine it becomes extremely difficult.
