Man he really aired her out

Awkward with Brian right there, both as Alison's friend and as someone being accused of a lot of the same stuff

He's saying she wasn't a team player

Didn't prepare bits for live shows when he asked her to, didn't chime in when he would talk about new products of his on the show, didn't contribute to the legal fund to fight the patent trolls, didn't engage him personally, etc. His criticism seems fair to me, but I also think he should have raised these issues with her a lot sooner

it seems like he was basically upset with her lack of motor. any opportunity she had or he gave her she never followed up on. and seeing how he's the type who busts his ass 7 days a week, it would get annoying paying your employee who's mailing it in.

the patent troll thing was weird.

yeah, 1 and 2 seem legit, 3 and 4 really pushing it. Either way, no way any of it should've made the airwaves. He's an egomaniac at this point.

I haven't listened to Carolla's podcast in years, but I'm not surprised he would air all the dirty laundry on the show. His podcast has the same culture as Stern, O&A and even the Dan Patrick show where there really is no behind the scenes, except where it applies to the hosts, all of the supporting roles are basically fodder to be blasted however the host likes. It can be engaging and lead to a sense of inclusion with the listeners, but it can be real cringe inducing as well.

he didn't bring it up. she talked about it openly on her show, and he said his hand was forced with twitter/reddit and all the rumors flying around.

Mostly this one, RadioLab and Serial

yeah, this just seems like a straight rip on Radiolab. instead of two male hosts they have two female hosts. i'll keep listening but i wont' be super eager to listen to 'em all

Mike Judge revealed on WTF that a trip to Disneyland is what prompted him to write Idiocracy.

I'm looking for some new stuff to listen to as well. I'm not into This American Life and all the storytelling ones, I find them to be kind of grating. I tried Stuff You Should Know or How It Works or whatever, but it seems too leisurely for me. I liked the premise anyway.
