most recent episode was killer. Vance's prog-rock obsession is hilarious

last 3 or 4 have been real good after a relatively weak couple months

The exchange with the Canadian kid was pretty funny too

I read great shit about the last couple weeks and got burned because my iTunes settings weren't right. But I've gotten into the habit of searching for the Wurster segment and giggling in public every week

I didn't particularly enjoy the 11/29 Scharpling -- save for the part about his Black Friday adventure -- but somehow those three hours flew by

that was a good one. Vance still kills me. and it never gets old when he gets someone to say "Hang up on m-" as he hangs up on them. don't know how people fall for it still

Working my way through the archives, I heard a thing between Scharpling and a high school buddy who fell into a pyramid scheme and was selling these awful CD longboxes. The memory of those had me in stitches. Can't believe that was a thing

YES. Just found the Rory Scovel and Norm MacDonald episode from 12-12-11 with the fake buffet commercials upfront. I started crying in laughter when he got to the dinosaur names.

Glass is great as a host. He has a short attention span and is really silly.

Wow. Todd Glass on WTF. I don't want to say too much, but listen to it.

I used to have the WTF app on my phone, I bought it just to hear the Gallagher show, but now I listen to Maron via Stitcher (my favorite app in the whole world). I'll have to give that a listen.

Well, I def didn't see that coming. WTF FTW?

Actually, WTF is a cultural phenomenon now, as much as a podcast can be one. The Norm episode was fantastic, I've listened to it a few times. Maron is remarkable in that, he's not really a very funny comedian, but he's completely reinvented himself and established a culture on his podcast that is truly unique and special.

I feel like that culture is either ass-kissing or petulance depending on the profile and cache of the guest. There was half a dozen times in the Norm interview where Maron tries to lead him in one direction, Norm disagrees, and then Maron acts like that was the point he was heading toward the whole time. But then a guy like Demetri Martin who isn't on the top of his game right now, Maron tries to goad him into trashing his own stuff and acts indignant when he won't.

They are really interesting listens, though, so I guess it's remarkable that an unlikable host can make for a good interview

i think maron sucks and i'm in the minority, but i love todd glass. so whatever.

maron's interview with rogan was horrible. he kept trying to call him a sellout and then talks about how 'angry' he is/was.
