Merv Griffin Show was on a bit earlier. Shining moment in Seinfeld history. Has to be a top three episode

that's a by-product of the 2-minute medium they did. Not really much time for set-ups. had to be "boom, do a george-ism, boom, do a jerry-ism, curtain".

And Elaine and the sidler.

Also love the home movies from George's boyhood trip to Michigan.

Episode is notable for this moment, where you can clearly see George laughing, but it's not edited out:

I think this would be my list as well, or very close to it. The end of Marine Biologist when George pulls the golf ball out still makes me laugh like the first time I saw it.

Agreed. That speech was perfection.

I also might include the backwards episode just cause I thought it was kind of neat.

I don't care that Seinfeld doesn't care about diversity in Comedy. He already dealt with it very well in the episode where George was desperate to find a black friend, and it's not realistic to expect a bunch of rich Jewish dudes that grew up together would have a diverse crew.

yeah I hadn't watched the interview prior to that and assumed that he was defending Seinfeld, not Comedian's In Cars. still don't see it as being a big deal. he has a lot of contemporaries (and luminaries) that are white and Jewish dudes.

he has mostly white, jewish friends who he gathered from comedy. his best friend is also george wallace, and he's close with chris rock.

i think he's just annoyed at constantly being asked this for years on end, and came off inartful.

HE HAS HIS FRIENDS ON THE SHOW. that's the point of it. he has a lot of white friends. lots of white people have lots of white friends...kinda how it is in our society at this point.

D'oh! Missed it. Not that $78.23 is ridiculous or anything.
