Yes. Trump is suffocating the GOP. He is the GOP, yes, but there is room for more voices. And I'm not talking about mcconnell or graham, who have proven to be unable to court moderate conservatives.

Some squirrels might want to start their hibernation now.

Are you saying you’d expect violence from the left if Trump wins? You know there have been multiple recent plots/attempts to kidnap or assassinate Democrat politicians including Biden and at least two governors, there have been right wing demonstrations where people carry assault weapons, and there have been several murders by right wingers, right?

Those radicalized antifa terrorists are the least effective people on the planet what with their zero fatalities so far.

I expect gun violence if Biden wins, and property crimes if Trump wins.

Exactly what I told my mother.

Over the past 7 months I've talked to many many people who are crying on the phone. Lt, just because you don't experience it doesn't mean it hasn't been the experience for many others.

I dropped off my ballot at the official drop box in Pottstown last Wednesday, 10/14; still haven't gotten notification that my ballot was received. When should I worry?

I dropped mine off on the 10th and didn't get a notification it was received until last night. It'd give it a few more days before getting super worried.

Gotta slip a 20 in the secrecy ballot to get it recorded quicker

I had my absentee ballot cancelled since I wasn't abroad. I'm driving to my hometown next week to do it in person. I can wait in line all day if I need to.

I thought PA didn’t even open the ballots until Election Day. How can they accept your ballot already without knowing whether or not you filled it out correctly

I feel like dems (and greens) frame the fossil fuels issue incorrectly. They should be saying things like, "We've reached peak oil and the amount of fossil fuels used will now decline no matter what we do. We need to start replacing that lost energy production now or we'll find ourselves in a bind later. We have no choice but to replace fossil fuels and it also makes sense from a health perspective. Over a million people a year die from coal dust around the world." Then I'd give hard facts about the relatively few jobs available in the fossil fuel industry given the mechanization versus the numbers that would be generated from a whole new industry. Biden is doing some of this latter part, but I don't understand why they tip-toe around why we need to move to alternative fuels. We have no choice and it needs to start now if we want to be industry leaders.

yea i found it real funny in the debate trump seemed to be proposing we just use oil forever and doesn't actually know its a finite resource.

I know a lot of people in the energy business and they are of course die hard trumpers. I expected them to be out in force on my facebook feed today but really it was pretty quiet. The reality is of course that with oil so cheap now they can’t really say trump has been great for their industry. Low prices have killed fracking around here already and that isn’t going to change no matter who wins the election.

Imagine: A candidate in 2020 suggesting that fossil fuels be phased out. How radical!
