I totally agree, a missed opportunity to both reassure voters that voting in person can and will be safe, but also re-enforcing that a mail in ballot is legitimate. Anyone could have predicted this idiot and his sycophants to beat a “fraudulent voting” drum loudly, and once again the American public is dumb enough to at least question it. My best guess is they steered clear of this tactic because they didn’t want to seem like they were diminishing the virus, which they have been using as a crutch.
It would have been so simple too. In most cases people will encounter less people at a voting location than they do a on a typical run to the grocery store or Target.
