Really. The only prep he’s ever done is pull on a condom a couple of times. Even then he probably paid someone to do it for him.
Expectations are so low for Trump that he can't do anything to hurt himself.
Trump himself lowered expectations for Biden by questioning his mental prowess that as long as Biden sounds like a normally functioning human being, he'll be fine.
I still can't figure out who is undecided at this point and could be swayed by watching a debate. I really think anyone who says they're undecided is just lying to themselves and anyone else.

Feel this. It's been a hard few weeks mentally for me.
Agree. Struggling to keep my mind away from it, it's so depressing and anxiety-inducing.

I realized after hearing about the RBG news, that I wasn't really interested in reading through all of the analysis. I saw the headlines, the hot takes on the right, the articles decrying the obvious hypocrisy, the articles advocating for packing the courts, the articles around why elections have consequences, the Biden Rule, etc etc etc. I opted out for the last week.
My goal, and this might be weird, is to find articles that I can send to my Trump-supporting mother. There are so few articles that report on something that Trump said that don't include a paragraph with the tone of "And of course, my dear liberal reader, the administration is leading us to a path of destruction that we can only hope to be saved from. Let me list the ways...." Once you start looking for that paragraph, you'll realize that almost every article has it. This is true even with WaPo articles.
If someone told me 6 years ago that you wrote these words, I would've thought they were out of their minds. That's more on me not giving you enough credit for being reasonable and principled rather than a win at all costs political animal.

getting dangerously close to my statement that WaPo and NYT are pretty bad!
i've largely checked out on following politics. Nothing i can do(i'm not an activist) and no one i can influence. Cast my vote and move on. How people are following these daily polls seems like digging an early grave to me(stress).
I still read and follow to some extent, but I don't try to argue or discuss my thoughts with anyone to try to change someone's mind, especially online. No one changes their minds, so all it serves to do is waste my time and raise my blood pressure. I do research, form my own thoughts and beliefs and do my part to support by voting or donating or spending money at certain places or certain things while avoiding certain vendors I may disagree with.
If I don't have time to volunteer for a campaign or cause, what else really can I do?
