Some good Government news, Virginia is making moves against pay day loans to balance need with lender abuse. This is a step, but I am also afraid that it is hardly enough as it seems to have an ideal that this is just a bridge loan but the rate of 36% (0.69% weekly) plus a monthly service fee still seems problematic for those taking loans. It turns out that the current average annual Virginia rates today are 251% for payday loans and 217% for title loans. The title loans also help account for Virginia's leadership in vehicle repossession. I am just hopeful that this is the first step in realignment of a broken system that finishes its arc with a living wage relegating these loans to emergency situations.

Can someone give me some idea of what this proposed M&A tax is that Trump is proposing? How much is "significant" and is it like a tariff where the acquirer pays on top of the negotiated price? This seems to be a very anti-republican idea.

I'm trying to watch the whole thing as a form of penance, and that was my first JFC moment. Around 7:30 in. I'm stuck at the 12 minute mark. Hard to do more than a few minutes at a time.
