The anti Harris stuff that has leaked has been very weird. What's the end goal for these people? For Biden to take a Black woman with little national experience would be perplexing? Lee has a pretty incredible anti-war voting history but she's also 74. I will be floored if that is the pick. Especially because this person is supposed to be the front-runner in 2024.

No he hasn't but he will be 82 by the start of a second term. Seems like one term ages someone 15 years too.

Picking someone who is effectively campaigning for your job from day one would put Joe in a weird position. I know Clinton and Reagan dealt with it, but the dynamics are way different in a second term. If he's going to pick somebody interested in the top job in '24, it should be someone with less of a national profile who needs him more than he needs her.

The campaign floated a trial balloon of the idea back in December. The response was too strong (this was before he'd tied up the nomination) so they walked it back.

This could be a response to what might come out of Houston. They certainly thought long and hard before doing it. It's an escalation.

He's creating a conflict, an enemy, for his supporters to hate. The CDC is the enemy, they were making up fake COVID numbers. Fauci has changed his mind on so many things, he's not to be trusted.

Someone on here said that Fauci is not someone to cower from a fight. I hope they were right.
