Trump Commutes Sentence of Roger Stone, His Friend and Former Adviser

The media playback aborted due to corruption

Seriously, that was the message I got associated with the video attached to the story about Roger stone saying that Trump needs to use his unlimited presidential powers to force to beat with Biden on trumps terms.

Man I want people to wear masks when they’re in public places, but I can’t really sign off on the couple wearing basically Nazi flags wrapped around their head to Walmart in Minnesota.
Trump supporters have new and inventive ways of following the Spirit of the rules and showing their support for the Donald. This woman’s comments are certainly confusing.

Dr Birx states to watch are Florida Ohio Kentucky Tennessee Alabama Mississippi Louisiana Missouri Iowa Idaho Colorado Arizona Nebraska Kansas California Washington and Oregon. That's not great news for the harvest in mask unfriendly Trump country. (Counted these up on CNN SOTU)

this is now a thing that candidates do on purpose to show their bonafides as a conservative and friend of Dear Leader

it's politically correct for them to have large indoor gatherings with no masks

It's so damn depressing. We're stuck like this until there's a vaccine because they are all part of a death cult.

I have no idea what will happen eventually if there's no vaccine.

Well, pandemics don't last forever.

Also, the international community could choose to exert such pressure as to force the government to take action.

Nothing lasts forever, but it could last indefinitely if we don't get a vaccine. The Black Plague didn't last forever, but it managed to kill 50% of Europe and reshape history. It doesn't need to last forever.

If no vaccine comes, I imagine we'll find better treatments, but that's faint reassurance.

Is this now doubling as the COVID thread since the other one got locked?

I’m going to go ahead and ask everyone to carefully read MrsVox’s most recent comment in the COVID thread.

The COVID and political issues are so entwined at this point, maybe we don't need the other thread. That's what I'm going to tell myself.

I still like JTK. He's ok in my book, if for no other reason than the tats

while you are right, and it is hard, I think that discussing COVID respectfully and a politically (i.e., masks, tests, concerns, observed stupidity, who's got it, etc.) belongs elsewhere, and how politics and its many tentacles belong here (political decisions, comments/tweets, legislative actions, polarization/polarization/fear mongering by elected officials, etc. The streams are going to get crossed, do your best, and FFS put the knives away (if you want to feel like shit do some doom scrolling).

I am resigned to Biden being bullied into picking Kamala Harris.

Did he actually promise to announce the pick this week? I thought it was only suggested as a possibility.

He said he's making his decision this week, but the announcement may not come until next.
