Republicans feel that Social Media Platforms totally silence conservatives voices. We will strongly regulate, or close them down, before we can ever allow this to happen. We saw what they attempted to do, and failed, in 2016. We can’t let a more sophisticated version of that....

This is a US president talking about taking governmental action to shut down private businesses. Why? Because Twitter called him out on ONE of the steady stream of lies he has told over the past four+ years. This is also a US president advocating against free and fair elections, i.e. democracy. Americans must remain vigilant!!
He doesn't like mail-in ballots because he doesn't want paper trails.

"In a country that has long cherished the freedom of expression, we cannot allow a limited number of online platforms to hand-pick the speech that Americans may access and convey online," the draft order says. "This practice is fundamentally un-American and anti-democratic. When large, powerful social media companies censor opinions with which they disagree, they exercise a dangerous power."
Of course, none of that is actually happening. Even the two tweets that started all of this are still out there on Twitter. Where is the censorship?
