Yea, they're taking the calculated risk that Democrats will not investigate. Republicans do not care to be seen as ultra partisan, because regardless of what Democrats do they'll be painted in the same or worse light. That's why Mitch could get away with blocking judicial nominees for years and stopping Garland from sitting on the Supreme Court. That's also why if a spot opens up prior to January 2021 he will fill it quicker than you could write an angry tweet about the hypocrisy.

Exactly. Dems on the otherhand are hyper aware of being seen as partisan and will refuse to investigate past crimes if they win in November "for the good of the country"

I agree. I do think there will be some committees on corruption in the Trump administration, but not to the extent that seems warranted.

I would be fine with that. He broke FBI policy and possibly the law to help Trump and completely fuck with an election. Now he goes around saying how bad he feels about it. I'm sure a lot of criminals and assholes feel bad about things they do, but that doesn't absolve them. He cost the dems two SCOTUS spots and the country a whole mess. I think he should be behind bars for what he did. Using your power to screw with an election should get you prison time.
