For all of the political hacks out there, if I hadn’t done my job well, & early, we would have lost 1 1/2 to 2 Million People, as opposed to the 100,000 plus that looks like will be the number. That’s 15 to 20 times more than we will lose. I shut down entry from China very early!

Wow. April this just a fond memory, and there’s at least one article saying that there’s 24+ states out there in trouble right now. I think the words used were uncontrolled spread of the virus.

It’s just so shocking to see him boast about 100,000 dead Americans and how damn smart he is. Just fucking amazing. He thinks that the government would’ve just simply let him do absolutely nothing and incur 2 million or so deaths? What a moron

If I, who was warned about the train had not pressed the brakes at the 20 foot mark we would have hit the train at 60mph instead of 40mph. No one gives me credit for this!

Maybe the general point is that they put out a large estimate, initiated lockdown, and Donald can come in under that looking 'good'.

I feel like it is much worse than that. His half-assed China "ban" had more holes in it than Swiss cheese so maybe that slowed the train from 60 mph to 55 mph (and that may even be generous). The remaining slowing of the train was due to the actions of our governors when the federal government was busy pretending this was a hoax. In hindsight, everybody probably acted too slowly but at least the governors took action rather than pretending it would just disappear.

Big picture, Biden doesn't need complex arguments to point out how Trump is wrong for the country. Simple messaging will be effective if he sticks to themes. He doesn't need to talk about immigration, which is complex. He doesn't need to talk about abortion, or the second amendment. He can just focus on health, and putting food on the table, and showing empathy.

Not that I am a political expert, but I think now that states have eased some restrictions, he will ramp up the messaging.

I mean he got the MAGA crew foaming at the mouth about wearing a mask in public that they tried to spin it that she should be wearing it in the house.
