So State Senator Andy Dinniman is heard on tape telling a House colleague's Republican opponent that "this will only help him in November," "he will get a lot of democratic write ins" and that "he should speak up and tell everyone he will fight for them" at what was basically a reopen question and answer session with State Rep Carolyn Comitta. The republican he was talking to will be her opponent in November.

This was immediately after Dinniman berated her about nonsense which only further embolden the 12 people there to yell at Comitta. Comitta is also running in a primary for Dinnimans state senate seat. Dinniman hand picked his replacement and is furious that that person may lose to Comitta..

Pretty bonkers stuff. Vile really.

I'd reach out to your county voter services tomorrow. You're in MontCo right? What's good there is they have boxes set up across the county for drop off, which is recommend doing at this point.

So Trump is threatening to pull the Republican National Convention out of North Carolina, tweeting that the Democrat governor needs to announce now that all attendees will be allowed in building with no restrictions....smh

In the abstract, it would be sort of a clever ploy... grant an unrequested and unnecessary blanket pardon to a former president for "anything he may have done" and let the implications fall where they may.

So last election, we were told the russians didn't get access to our voting databases. Then we were told they did get access, but weren't in the position to change anything. Then we were told they were in position to change things, but didn't actually change anything.

What will happen if this time they DO change results?

What are we going to do about it? There was time to fix this, but Trump and McConnell refused to do what was asked to make it safe in the future.

The answer is nothing because there's nothing to do when the party winning already holds power and access to all the meaningful levers. We can jump up and down and yell a lot, but there will be no justice coming from SCOTUS.

I'm just curious if I'm the only one who thinks the Russians will go a step or two farther than last time. They may not change votes, or maybe they will, but either way they won't have anyone to answer to if they are successful.

I guess you can take that woman from Michigan off the list of potential vice president candidates. If you haven’t seen the news, which seems to be everywhere, her husband demanded that his boat be pulled out of storage and put on the water for the memorial day weekend. The kind of stupidity that also put a solid dent in your career. Good job Michigan’s first dude way to go.
