Last episode I watched was outrage at some fairly dated trump news followed by a strange deep dive on Wendy Williams WFH setup (which the interns probably thought would be funny)
Come at me libs
I would argue with you, but one of the greatest losses of this pandemic is that I used to get together with a friend and horn in on their HBO subscription to catch up on John Oliver during the week, so I'm about four weeks behind.
But wait! Didn't realize you could watch full episodes on youtube, which I get on my TV (I never watch things on my computer, because I'm old). Caught the latest, and while he certainly does come at things from a certain angle it was all straight talk, and very funny despite the funereal atmosphere of the home studio.
Who knows if I'll ever catch up with the episode you saw, but I'll definitely tune in next time if I have any idea what day of the week it is then.

I'm conflicted on it. On one hand it's super #resistancey but on the other hand I laugh sometimes. He's clearly just pandering to his base and I guess that's a choice as it's mostly a comedy show but sometimes I'm just like I already know most of this why am I watching. I think it's amplified during COVID because the news cycle moves so fast that we've known all of what he's talked about and moved on from it. It's a better show when they're doing deep dives into other things like cash bail, private prisons etc.jamiethekiller wrote:He sucks. He does really good stuff but it's so fucking comedy focused that all it does is divide.
Everything he does is just talking down to the other side
