I don't know if this has been posted, and I hope I haven't posted it, but from the swamp Trump donors hired the right lobbyists to net themselves the biggest share of the PPP money. Over 50 million. Seems like while simultaneously whining that the shutdown would put them out of business, they pumped plenty of money into a lobbying effort. A very swampy maneuver.

About the post office, he says that they must raise their prices on amazon. I can't remember the last time I got an amazon package delivered by the post office. They use their own people or other private companies.

This is often Trump's trigger but the idea of privatizing the USPS is around for a long time. I know I wrote a paper against it late in high school or during the first college try. So that's like at least 10 years ago.

The USPS was crippled by Republicans back in 2006 with the Postal Accountability Act, which required them to fund pensions and healthcare 75 years in the future. I'd also imagine many of the politicians pushing it have invested in FedEx, UPS, et al, but that's harder to prove. Trump is no different than "traditional Republicans" on the vast majority of issues.

If they succeed, I wonder how the residents of REEL MURCA will feel about paying way more than 35 cents to mail things from their rural homes.
