It's like boomers are somehow multiplying this late in their life.

Given the rate of STDs in nursing homes we know they're at least trying

I do like Liz but she is costing Sanders, Minnesota, and maybe Maine tonight, and bigger-than-he-would-have-had wins in TX and CA.

Shame.

If Bloomberg wasn’t in, Biden would kill Bernie in Texas and may have pushed him Colo. This is an ass kicking that doesn’t need a further explanation

Race seems d-u-n.

Klobuchar for VP.

Do you think a minority woman would be better? Guess the obvious argument is she helps bigly in Minnesota which is a tipping point state.

I think Kamala on paper makes the most sense (experience, minority female, good communicator). But probably needs someone who can either appeal to swing states or maybe is more appealing to the left than him, of which she is neither. Klobuchar checks at least one of those. I don't think there's anyone who checks both boxes.

It'll be interesting.

Seemed Abrams was heavily flirted with by the Biden campaign early on. Massive hole as far as experience goes though obviously.

Has long seemed to me like Abrams would be a top candidate (if not *the* top candidate) for a Biden running mate.

The semi-hidden figure tonight might really be Obama. If Biden is a referendum on Obama, consider Obama a winner again. To the extent he is identified with Obama, it’s really working for him tonight. Also, Obama is really popular with Dems (duh), but I suspect across the country even now. He closed his presidency with an approval rating closing in on 60. In 2018, he scored a 63% in a survey. I wonder what he’d score now.

Sure looks like Biden won’t make the Gore 2000 “Bill Who?” mistake, thank goodness.

Imagine if Obama was running... Michelle, that is. I guess she'll run in 30 years.

I’d really prefer not. We fought a war, I think, to get out from under a hereditary executive.

The Texas results by age are amazing. Sanders beats Biden 6:1 under 30, and Biden wins 3:1 among 65+.

This is the thing, an 80 year old man is, in policy terms, the future of the Democratic Party.

MA to Biden. Wow.

Ah yes, the crowd that for the most part had pensions and healthcare and made good money with little to no education. Fits 2020 to a T.

Barack Obama has been atop the Gallup most-admired-man survey for 12 years in a row.

12 years.

That explains a lot tonight. And Joe is very likable, unlike, say, Hillary.

That's true. Hilary had secret plans to murder people and Biden can't tell his wife from his sister so hard to make those kind of conspiracies up against him.

I think there is a 50 percent chance Trump mocks Joe's dead son somehow in a debate.

so many people who were so wrong in 2016 insist that they have the pulse on the American electorate

jerseyhoya, tomatopie, and werthless got everything they wanted policy-wise over the last 20 years and then were surprised to find that out that their party was fueled by racism, sexism, and xenophobia and their country defined by inequality, but now we take their advice as the way forward

Different ratios but it's a pretty consistent theme. Biden edged Bernie 11-1 in the Virginia 65+ and they were 25% of the vote.

I understand people's frustration but don't be upset at the 45+ and 65+ (or wish death on them). Get upset at like-minded under 45 folks who didn't vote. It's running about 2 to 1 tonight for 45+ to under 45.

Just saw this myself after being off Twitter and on the phone with an anti-Bernie friend.

I mean, if Biden is winning Texas. It is extremely hard to reach how this is not over over.
