Found the kid playing with her dog instead of Zooming with her teacher. She told me not to worry. She took a screenshot of herself “paying attention,” then cut her video & replaced it with the picture. “It’s a gallery view of 20 kids, mom. They can’t tell.” She is 10. #COVID19

My daughter's class just has one hour a week of live time with the teacher, the rest is working on her own. It's only about an hour of work, too. Lots of time to fill

I did an informal zoom with my students yesterday, and of course when we actually have class, some of them have sporadic attendance, but yesterday they were all "we miss class soooo much." Kinda nice I guess.
