That's correct. But Trump is trying to get re-elected so doesn't care if he drives the economy into the ditch long term. He'll find somebody else to blame for that.

Not sure there is a worse caucus in the country than the North Carolina Republicans. The Dems were at a 9/11 event and the Republicans voted to override the Governor's veto on the budget. Very normal.

First off, this is completely self serving. Think of the positive impact on his finances.

Now think of it if he gets it below zero... that is you get paid to borrow money! Fact has to be that he means a negative interest rate on excess reserves is an instrument of unconventional monetary policy applied by central banks to encourage lending by making it costly for commercial banks to hold their excess reserves at central banks so they will lend more readily to the private sector.

Exactly, which is why it is interesting to hear Trump floating this idea since we are now experiencing the greatest economy in the history of this world and all other worlds. Zero or negative interest is a nuclear option to stave off 1929-1939 not to induce growth to cover for a slowing economy caused by the person suggesting the zero/negative interest rate solution.

You don't leave Secretary of State to become NSA. He'd either do both, which would be very on brand for this administration, or more likely this is a float initially started on Fox by Seb Gorka or Lou Dobbs or Hannity that is going nowhere, which would be very on brand for this administration.

People seem shocked at the stingrays that were found around DC were forensically identified as belonging to the Israelis. There’s absolutely no doubt that there’s Israeli agents working in DC, and other major US cities. It’s just a fact of life. But equally humorous is good old Netanyahu claiming that there are no spies whatsoever in the United States.
