Southwest suburb - plenty of oil-related money out there. But they will need to find a non-crazy R to step up, which is never a sure thing

Trump wants the Obama's book deals investigated, the Clinton foundation investigated, and stated that Obama ruined the White House air conditioning system by using it. Seriously, this is your president.

“We want to find out what happened with the last Democrat president. Let’s look into Obama the way they’ve looked at me.

that shouldn't be too hard, because the Obama White House published its daily schedule and its visitor logs and was oh, it seems, relatively transparent. Whereas none of that happens in today's White House.

Trump is "reviewing" the DOD cloud competition called JEDI, he received a document called Amazon's conspiracy to gain a monopoly of the dod cloud environment for 10 years. by the way, a 10-year contract for infrastructure is simply standard practice. Of note however, is this tidbit:

Notably, the report also said the document was identical to one created by Ken Glueck, the executive vice president at Oracle and the database giant's chief Washington lobbyist. Glueck has a blown-up version of the chart hanging on his office window at Oracle's Washington, DC, office, according to CNN.

Apparently the diagram has dollar signs and arrows like you see in a cartoon conspiracy TV show with pictures of Amazon employees and even a heart for some reason.

He's taken a good bit of money from a russian oligarch that naturalized here.

The tentacles of this NRA stuff will show russian money flowing all through the GOP. Probably a few dems too.

Is it possible that the Dems are delaying impeachment hearings until 2020 to ensure it factors into the presidential election?

If they are going to do it, it sure seems like they are slow rolling it out there.

But I don't think they're going to do it. I think they are counting on these investigations coming to a slow boil in 2020 without the impeachment part.

It is a good article, though one few Trumpers will read, and even Cummings supporters will likely ignore. My daughter and my niece both live in the 7th, in vibrant, safe urban communities near Johns Hopkins U. Other areas are even farther up the economic scale, though of course many (but not most) are confronting huge problems. It's frustrating that that's not the narrative that will persist, though. I think most of the public (on both sides, on both sides) are just happy to accept that he presides over a hellhole, and pundits again from both sides will make their pronouncements from that point of view. It's pretty sad, not simply because it's a mischaracterization or shows Baltimore in a bad light, but because, as the article points out, who your congressional Representative is counts little toward quality of life, good or ill, and the problems that exist need to be addressed at all levels of government, rather than simply dismissing those parts of the country that won't lend you support anyway.

Ted Terry is running for US Senate in Georgia. He is they mayor of Clarkston, GA and was on an episode of Queer Eye. There is basically no one in that race yet so pretty interesting candidate mostly based on how well known he is already because of that show.

Rick Scott thinks that because no bites were changed to his knowledge that the Russia thing was overblown. Seems unaware what an influence campaigns goals are.

He also thinks the Cummings's tweets were A-OK, basically used the tweet language as justification.

Right, have the hearings during the campaign season but drag them out so it never gets to the senate

Friday the talk was the auditions were on from the Mueller hearing pitting Ratcliff against Nunes. I guess the sycofantic tweet quote at the hearing won the day.

Mulvaney, like Trump, claimed Mueller's testimony about his investigation into Russian election meddling had cleared the president of any wrongdoing, and falsely said Mueller had testified that he would "absolutely not" have indicted Trump if he weren't the president.

"No, that's not what he said," Wallace pushed back.

"He said we didn't because of the OLC, the Office of Legal Counsel guidelines," Wallace said, referring to a 2000 Justice Department determination that "a sitting President is constitutionally immune from indictment and criminal prosecution."

"I actually just think you're wrong on that," Mulvaney said.

"The record will show what it shows. I promise you you're wrong," Wallace replied.

My district, AR 4, has a higher poverty rate than MD 7. I think our representative should resign in shame.

apparently Trump didn't like that known DSA member Coats believed the intelligence agencies in regards to Russian interference in the 2016 election and the need to beef up our security for the 2020 election and beyond.

Ratcliffe knows the REAL scoop:

atcliffe appeared Sunday on Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures" and made a number of points that were in sync with Trump's rhetoric. He said it was time to move on from talk of impeachment, questioned the legitimacy of the Mueller report into Russian election interference and urged investigation into potential wrongdoing during the Obama administration.
