He wants his own guys in those roles, especially if they are not accountable to congress.

VA congressman Bobby Scott issued a statement after he sent a letter to Sonny Perdue stating that there is an unintended consequence to changing SNAP eligibility which is that student will loose access to free or reduced school lunches. I am sure it is reasonably understood that those breakfasts and lunches might be the only meals these kids get during the day, and there are plenty of outside organizations, primarily churches, that step into the void and send food home for the weekend and to supplement the lack of day time nutrition.

Its alright though because it seem like it will only effect ~500,000 kids.
