it wasn't until i moved to arizona that i found out you can actually get your security deposit back. i there is a non refundable cleaning deposit 75-100 dollars or so tho. i had a landlord literally hunt me down to send me my deposit of 250 dollars one time. after that i rented a couple of more times and never needed a deposit.

I'd just do it. If the landlord has enough properties they probably wouldn't even notice.

And these things are awesome- much better than normal metal toggle bolts.

My parents owned a rental property for years and always gave the security deposit back except for one time where the people basically trashed the place.

Those do look pretty good. I guess while you're here, bucky...I can't really tell what material the wall is (I'm a noob). Would I be fine using these on plaster or drywall? It's odd...some of it feels pretty hollow when I knock like a drywall would but some feels pretty solid. If I'm good either way then I don't really need to worry about it but I don't know what materials would be a no-no to drill/anchor into.

in state college i had some inflated charges against me and took matters into my own hands, literally, and made sure i felt i got my monies worth. it was kind of funny that they never repaired the so-called damage for the next tenant which was actually me again. i did receive some of the next deposit back the second time. it was like 100 dollars or so. really odd situation i was in up there.

Yesterday, I was standing in line to get lunch and was wearing my Phillies hat. There was a father and son (probably 5 or 6) in front of me. The dad sees my hat and comments on it and says they’re both Phillies fans and watch all the games yada yada. I ask the kid who his favorite Phillie is.

His answer…

Murph!

They met him at a game and Murph gave the kid a shirt, so there ya go.

andy musser was my favorite, not player mind you, when i was a kid and into adulthood. he got me a juan samuel signed baseball! he was genuinely a real good person, who never really got the respect he deserved here. i ran into him in my early 20's and really thanked him and told him i loved all the work i did. i can't stress this enough, he was good people.

You *should* be OK, depending on the exact construction. There's some really old plaster (like my house) that doesn't take well to drilling- it just chunks off in pieces. Best, of course, is to find a stud (/PiP) and mount to them, assuming that you can center your cabinet in that scenario.

My studfinder just went bonkers when I ran it. Possible it can't probe deep enough (/PiP).

in that case you would use a magnetic stud finder and hope to find where the lathe is nailed to the studs
