Susan Wild and Mary Gay Scanlon have been sworn in after winning their respective special elections; 1.5 million people now have representation in both chambers of Congress again.

Looks like it is going to end up right at 8 points. Better than usual for a Mississippi Dem, but only by a couple of points. Still about an 8 point swing from the R total in the general. He had no shot of winning but that is pretty lame showing for Confederate woman.

Scanlon was sworn in a couple weeks ago, no? She's my congresswoman, so I follow her on socials. Saw the pic of her swearing in on the constitution by Ryan.

Somewhat related, this quote from SHS highlights, I think, the complete lack of competence at every level of this administration:

He is "normal" to many of his voters because he is just like them (except, perhaps, for the extreme narcissism). He is "normal" to his other supporters because he is a convenient means to an end.
