I think this is the first reporting with a dollar figure I've seen.

Trump spent $200,000,000 on sending 6,000 troops to the border and he's bringing them home before the caravan arrives

Government Report : Major student loan company may have driven borrowers toward higher-cost plans.

Well, who knew. Good news that DeVos says that the state and federal Government needs to nose out of these matters because business.

Peter Mirijanian, a spokesman for Ivanka Trump lawyer Abbe Lowell, said something similar in a statement following the Post story. (Again, bolding is mine.)

"While transitioning into government, until the White House provided her the same guidance they had to others who started before she did, Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," Mirijanian said.

So, her excuse is basically:

This came out over a year ago. Weird that the media is tuning into this now. Maybe they are hearing chatter about her getting indicted for the Soho and Vancouver projects?

I'm calling bullshit on that dollar figure. That's how much it costs to deploy an aircraft carrier for six months.

Trump tried to direct DoJ to go after Comey/Clinton.. his lawyers wrote a memo that he’d be impeached.

The first thing you notice is the infantile copy. But an hour after reading it, I'm more struck by the utter lack of moral foundation that supports this entire statement. It's a disturbingly shallow journey into a discussion of right/wrong. "Hey, they gave us a bunch of money, money is good, China is bad, Iran is bad, this is easy."

Trump’s psychic moorings (such as they are) are entirely financial and political. There are no higher standards such as love, morality, duty, honesty, honor, etc., which guide him.

Seems steep, but it includes the guardsmen who have been there since April. Easy to forget about them. That number is published all over the place, and is not that new.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Offered Pelosi support earlier. The winning proposition is for Pelosi to take on apprentices to shut down the talking point for the next election. She’s effective, but she’s got retire someday. More importantly, these folks are not really upstarts as much as the next generation just dying on the vine. Get them in there and get them working. Show real leadership to the nation.

"Based on the current phased force laydown of approximately 5,900... personnel through Dec. 15, 2018, the estimated cost to deploy, operate, sustain, and redeploy forces is approximately $72 million."

Pentagon statement.

I'll see you and raise you a Stars ans Stripes

Using thousands of military troops to help secure the Southwest border will cost an estimated $210 million under current plans, the Pentagon told Congress on Tuesday, even as questions arose about the scope and duration of the controversial mission.

The total includes $72 million for approximately 5,900 active-duty troops providing support to Customs and Border Protection, plus $138 million so far for 2,100 National Guard troops who have been performing a separate border mission since April, according to a report sent to Congress on Tuesday but not released by the Pentagon.

As I said Slug, count them all. You nailed the active duty troops but ignored my reference the 6+ month guard deployment.

the former campaign manager for Mark Pinsley (lost for State Senate in a close race) in to the Majority Report to discuss how stupid it is for unions to back Republicans. this is what I got on about with Scott Wallace vs Brian Fitzpatrick (which he mentions). It's a good video to watch for anyone interested in PA state politics. SEIU endorsed both Pinsley and Wallace but the AFL-CIO did not endorse in the PA16 and endorsed Fitzpatrick for whatever reason.
