Jacob Wohl Files Police Report After Michael Avenatti Tweets: ‘I Am Coming for You’
traderdave wrote:"Some aides were startled by the volume of Ivanka Trump's personal emails — and taken aback by her response when questioned about the practice. She said she was not familiar with some details of the rules, according to people with knowledge of her reaction."
Peter Mirijanian, a spokesman for Ivanka Trump lawyer Abbe Lowell, said something similar in a statement following the Post story. (Again, bolding is mine.)
"While transitioning into government, until the White House provided her the same guidance they had to others who started before she did, Ms. Trump sometimes used her private account, almost always for logistics and scheduling concerning her family," Mirijanian said.
So, her excuse is basically:

The first thing you notice is the infantile copy. But an hour after reading it, I'm more struck by the utter lack of moral foundation that supports this entire statement. It's a disturbingly shallow journey into a discussion of right/wrong. "Hey, they gave us a bunch of money, money is good, China is bad, Iran is bad, this is easy."

I'm calling #$!&@ on that dollar figure. That's how much it costs to deploy an aircraft carrier for six months.

Seems steep, but it includes the guardsmen who have been there since April. Easy to forget about them. That number is published all over the place, and is not that new.
"Based on the current phased force laydown of approximately 5,900... personnel through Dec. 15, 2018, the estimated cost to deploy, operate, sustain, and redeploy forces is approximately $72 million."

Using thousands of military troops to help secure the Southwest border will cost an estimated $210 million under current plans, the Pentagon told Congress on Tuesday, even as questions arose about the scope and duration of the controversial mission.
The total includes $72 million for approximately 5,900 active-duty troops providing support to Customs and Border Protection, plus $138 million so far for 2,100 National Guard troops who have been performing a separate border mission since April, according to a report sent to Congress on Tuesday but not released by the Pentagon.
