Election week: Blue wave or blue balls? (Politics)

The Democrats come saying, “You don’t need your freedom. You don’t need your free speech. You don’t need your religious liberty. You don’t need your 2nd Amendment. Who the hell are they to try to take away our freedoms?” - Ted Cruz at some "rally" inside a small hotel conference room

Ummmm, I'm pretty positive there are no Democrats saying any of that, Ted, but you do you. Or, actually, you do Trump; the man who called you a liar and, worse yet, your wife ugly.

ALL the polls are breaking BLUE. PLUS the presence of the Donald will get every last able bodied socialist out to the polls.

It was once a 53 Dem Senate, but Heitkamp is just TOO far behind.

So a TRUE BLUE wave of 60 house seats, and a 52 to 48 Blue Senate.

CNN at +13 Dem approval = 60 plus house seats.

In other news Ben and Jerry almost took my advice for mpeachmint ice cream.

Pecan resist addresses a broader cause.

Personally I will resist eating pecan ice cream.

Nothing personal.

It is usually that green stuff not the pecans, so I will try it, if it shows itself in front of my face.

If the blue wave doesn't end up happening then it is probably time to abandon the polls because they are worthless.

After 2016 I have no faith in the polls. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing because it gives me hope for the Senate.

The bottom dropped out from Hilary after the Comey 600k email letter.

It showed in sentiment, if not the polls.

That was the Donald's very last national campaign.

His next campaign, cleaning up the prison yard.

I won’t be surprised at all if Menendez loses his seat.

Maybe I am trying to forget but I thought exit polls were all pretty promising during the day.

That wouldn't be surprising, it would be STUNNING. No way that POS loses his seat. I'd say "unfortunately" but his loss would mean Hugin won and that is just death by another weapon.

NJ hasn't elected a R senator since 1972.

I hope you guys are right. Anecdotally, people I’ve talked to seem like they’re buying into Hugin’s campaign (people who don’t pay much attention bringing up the prostitution thing, people who do pay attention bringing up the corruption indictment, people who I know typically vote all blue but aren’t really into politics parroting ads by telling me that “Hugin isn’t a typical republican”).

It’s not a reliable poll or anything, just what I’m seeing/hearing day to day.

Can't wait to wait tomorrow. I'm especially excited to vote for Ocasio Cortez. I really like her.

I will also reluctantly vote for Gillibrand because she's still the better option. But yuck, if she runs for President, she's not getting my vote in in the primary.

The polls were decent in 2016. ~3% isn't that bad in state polls and the national polls were pretty solid. It was a normal polling error.

If this happens again (to a slightly larger degree maybe), then Republicans can keep the house. If it goes the other way then it's going to be a looooooong night for Republicans.

Here's my take-- Dems gonna win 40+ in the house and win Nevada, Arizona, TN and TX. Then Espy wins the run off in MS.

I hope she invited them in and took as much of their time as possible discussing the issues, feigning interest, and acting like she's on the fence until they finally had to excuse themselves. Waste their resources.
