He's basically their gobetween. So to me it goes like this:

1. They request Trump let the FBI investigate and they say no - Flake etc. probably vote no and Kavanaugh goes down.
2. McConnell ignores the whole thing and they go to the floor - same thing
3. FBI investigation/delay happens and finds no absolute smoking gun - all Rs fall in line
4. FBI investigation/delay happens and finds something serious discrepancies etc. - Kavanaugh probably goes down

I think 3 is the most likely option unfortunately.

Graham is basically saying Flake is a good guy but not me, I wouldn't do it cause I'm a scumbag

Delays allow for polling to be updated and adjusted. That’s an added risk.

Bravo to Jeff Flake for having the decency and integrity to make that decision. By doing the right thing I think, among other positive things, he may actually be saving the Pubs from themselves.

Is the waiting period a done deal? Won't turtle just ignore it and call for the floor vote? THEN we'll see what Flake is made of.

McConnell won’t do the vote unless he’s sure it will pass. I’m also guessing Flake’s announcement will also give Murkowski and/or Collins political cover to also call for FBI investigation before the vote.

I put a small amount of money last night on him not to be confirmed at +325. Yes is now -170, No is +140 so that's moving in the right direction.

Also bet $50 on the Dems taking the House at -220. That's implied odds of under 70% which seems wild.

Republicans are saying she flies often for her personal travel and hobbies, which is why they brought it up multiple times during her interview, but wasn't willing to fly to Washington for her civic duty or something like that. So she was lying about hating to fly since she does it so often was what they were trying to say.

Sorry, I was trying to capture the moment of this man and woman having that very discussion. The woman was all in on it too.
