Flake, Murkowski, and Collins planning on voting as a bloc.

Sounds like there is hope.

Dunno, you now have the ABA calling for a halt to the vote.

I think all the tweets indicating everyone is voting "yes" may be a trial balloon.

Hey, I know I am reaching...but I just don't see Brant getting confirmed.

Probably, or they feel they can shield each other from the shitstorm that'll come their way.

Don't want to get my hopes up, though. But, what a relief if he didn't make it out of committee.

Dems +14

Major wave, more like the fukushima tsunami, which will be with us for at least 37 years due to cesium.

We could be looking at a much bigger explosion than hiroshima, say einewetok. Google that one prn.

In other related news, the Republicans just keep giving to the blue team. You would think they got their name in the polyanna, AND have a crush on them.

Kavanaugh Ford, the historic hearing, will keep on giving to the dems for at least the rest of this cycle.

It may very well catch a ride on the 2020 train if the Donald somehow winds up running again.

If Collins and these other tweeners vote yes, I'll be sending some money to their opponents. It's the only thing they understand. The GOP has no decency left. None. It's a cancer that needs to be cut out, then irradiated, then checked periodically to make sure it doesn't return.

the GOP doesnt want to take the risk to pass this opportunity up
after denying Garland and getting the opportunity to finally get the SCOTUS votes to overturn roe and the aca with the 2 vacancies
they cant take a chance the senate flips and watch the dems stall any nominee for 2 years
I think if Kavanaugh was appointed instead of Gorsuch they wouldve dumped him and got a better choice since they had plenty of time

If he is confirmed then his life needs to be made hell as soon as we have a democratic senate.

By made hell I obviously mean do a real investigation and everything.

There was a pundit on some show last night, can’t remember who, who brought up a really good point re: how this process will absolutely negatively affect Kavanaughs rulings and impartiality on the court. He will be resentful and take a hard turn to the right to scorn any Democratic/liberal issues that get to the chambers. This pundit said the same thing happened to Clarence Thomas and many people who know him personally say Clarence’s ordeal drove him way to the right due to inner rage.

Anyway, that’s terrible news and anyone who thinks he will be a professional and impartial jurist after this is delusional. He will have his mind made up before any hearings and court proceedings takes place.
Do you think April is too early for a Roger Dorn night?

Well here is a terrifying take. It might have come from SE Cupp because it was on in the cafe. She said that 'the silent majority in middle America lives in fear of exactly this situation where one uncorroborated accusation destroys you and your family.' She thinks that this something that drives republicans to the polls if he is not confirmed.

I have not read any of the pros or pundits views, but replaying some of this in my head it stuck out that he kept saying that if the vote were done weeks ago as congress is supposed to that this would not be an issue. That is an interesting take. This guy seems a little dangerously like Trump. I agree with Roberts that politics has no place in the courts.

Just ask yourself which of Ford or Kavanaugh has the greater incentive to lie.

This is random but ...

He keeps saying that he definitely was not at this particular party...a small party in that his best friend was also said to be attending. There is just no way that he would remember whether or not he was there. This was barely even a party...more like a gathering. I went to a lot of parties when I was in high school. Lots of house parties and barely remember any of them. I remember the ones where something significant happened. I remember the party that I was at when we heard that Princess Diana died. I remember the party where the cops showed up and I hid in a bush with a girl and I buried my pot under a bush. I get why she remembers (as she said in her testimony) but there is no way he should.

Blasey-Ford was awesome yesterday. I don't know how anybody could watch that and come out of there not believing her.

He's an aggressive, lying piece of shit.

I don't understand why the Dems questions weren't centered around his easily proven lies that he previously made under oath.

I think that if you asked the GOP prosecutor lady, she would say that he did it.

Damn shame that Whitehouse didn't research the terms "Devil's Triangle" and "boofed" prior to the hearing.
