Everyone rushed to judgment saying Kavanaugh was toast; he took the Trump approach and it’s going to work because it always works. He will breeze thru committee and probably get confirmed.

I'm a never Trump Republican and I think Kavanaugh is cooked.

Politically everyone is going to be able to declare victory though. Dems blocked a nomination. Republicans have an issue to fire up the base for the midterms. Trump probably nominates the 7 year younger Amy Coney Barrett and dares the Senate to block her nomination too (or not hold hearings for 2+ years).

It only matters how Collins and Murkowski feel about the matter.

Dr. Ford's testimony is still damning imo.
