If only I had a choice! But the good news is I did finally get the delivery yesterday. Got lucky and the dude happened to show up literally as I was getting home and unlocking my front door.

I think mostly the second. The internet may be for porn, but a close second is trolling, and what better an opportunity to troll a whole planet? I would think they spearhead it, but then you've got groups of people who are just smart enough to be stupid-sometimes they grow up to be Scientologists or originalist Supreme court justices, but frequently they're intelligent people who either did not get much advanced education or ignored what was offered to them, but enjoy the intellectual puzzle while losing sight of the basic absurdity. Then you've got just plain stupid.

May just be funded by Netflix and Amazon to get people to stay home and not venture from their living rooms.

now after missing a crucial letter in a gag yesterday and not catching it until this morning i've finally swapped it

It's a hardware issue! Several days later the suggestion is a factory reset of my phone. I insisted on keeping the ticket open so I don't have to go through low level support again but I'm considering just making a stink about the inconvenience, getting the phone bought out and then buying an unlocked Pixel.
