Jessie Connors Tieva, a former Apprentice contestant has been accused of running a scam business course scheme that bilked customers out of $15M. This sounds like someone learned from the best. Maybe Trump sues her for stealing his idea about how to screw people with fake education because she clearly stole the business plan from the boss.

looks like o'connor will lose. As the reporting precincts move farther away from Columbus they get more and more red. Up 0.4% with 80% of precincts reporting.

7 precincts left, at GOP +0.84%, BUT a couple hundred votes ahead of Dem+Green

Still calling this a big W, and provisionals might get it there officially

50.1%/49.3%/0.6%

1754 votes, so outside the margin of anything but a current reporting error

Unprovable thing I believe to be true: if Nancy Pelosi was retiring, O'Connor would have won

@realDonaldTrump

When I decided to go to Ohio for Troy Balderson, he was down in early voting 64 to 36. That was not good. After my speech on Saturday night, there was a big turn for the better. Now Troy wins a great victory during a very tough time of the year for voting. He will win BIG in Nov.

Kobach is down 516 votes with 79 percent of precincts reporting. He was up a bit ago. Seems he's doing better on election day votes on the whole but the big county that's out went for Colyer in early voting.

Would very much enjoy him losing.

It is alleged that Kavanaugh was in the middle of the torture documents proferred by W Bush. ( W being for Walker of Walker Cup fame btw)

The National Archives refused to give up the documents? I want to read every single one of those documents now, they are the property of the US Govt and available for review. Let's read those documents now.

It is August, which is a long time from November. They must have damning info, becuse the game is delay until November for the Dems, and the Rep game is get him confirmed now.

asbestos is back:
According to Fast Company, the EPA’s recently released report detailing its new framework for evaluating the risk of its top prioritized substances states that the agency will “no longer consider the effect or presence of substances in the air, ground, or water in its risk assessments.”

This news comes after the EPA reviewed its first batch of 10 chemicals under the 2016 amendment to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which requires the agency to continually reevaluate hundreds of potentially toxic chemicals in lieu of removing them from the market or placing new restrictions on their use. The SNUR greenlights companies to use toxic chemicals like asbestos without consideration about how they will endanger people who are indirectly in contact with them.

Asbestos was widely used in building insulation up until it was completely banned in most countries in the 1970s. The U.S. severely restricted its use without completely outlawing it. As Fast Company covered, the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) revealed in April that asbestos-related deaths now total nearly 40,000 annually, with lung cancer and mesothelioma being the most common illnesses in association with the toxin.

Trump testified before Congress that he thinks the World Trade Center might be standing if they had asbestos

There was a Republican strategist on the radio this morning saying what Ohio came down to, and to put a big red circle around what JH posted, is Nancy Pelosi. He said when the chips are down the Democrat said that he would vote with Nancy Pelosi over a Democrat agenda every time and that is what is important. Although I don't think the results in Ohio Merit a giant celebration for the GOP, it is unreal how large Nancy Pelosi Looms. It is pathetic how this boogie man approach to politics thrives. Let's be serious, if the question that the guy was asked was if he was going to side with Democrats or Republicans, and he's a Democrat the answer seems pretty obvious. Obstructing it out to Nancy Pelosi's agenda is for the feeble-minded.

O'Connor said he wouldn't vote for her for Speaker, same as Lamb and plenty of others. it'd be cool if she said she was retiring or stepping aside, however.

Seemed odd that it would come up in an interview w/o being challenged. The red meat for the base appearently happened 2 weeks ago:

Jim Newell for Slat July 27, 2018 wrote:
Republicans get the Nancy Pelosi slip-up they wanted.

Just as Tuesday’s special election seemed to be trending toward Democrats—with prognosticators moving this longtime red district to “toss-up” status, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into it—the party’s nominee, Danny O’Connor, gave Republicans the opening they wanted. In an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, O’Connor—who had previously said he wouldn’t support Nancy Pelosi for leader—was pressed over whether he would support her in a hypothetical speaker’s vote between her and a Republican. “I would support whoever the Democratic Party puts forward,” O’Connor eventually conceded. This was on Tuesday. By Wednesday, the National Republican Congressional Committee had already put out two ads.
