Yesterdays news is really unreal. I am tired of unprecedented which masquerades for unpresidented. Talking about abuses, when he uses his position to go after his perceived enemies with the weight of the office, it is tragic. Highest level of bullying to silence critics. The fact is that these folks (Brennan, Rice, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Hayden, and others) are respected seems troubling to him, and their reputations are what he is actually after. He continues to confuse contrary opinions as something that is permitted. while it is true that these actions would potentially hurt them fiscally, the reasoning is petty and likely meets no standard (what is cited is at best a stretch, but more likely a purposeful misinterpretation).

It is a new spin on the old dictator move of trying to silence critics. Brennan, Clapper, and Hayden have been vocal critics, but more focused on the right path for the US. Comey, and McCabe are created enemies. I must have missed what Susan Rice did.

I get that he does not like criticism, but I would think that you wold want to make peace, and have these people to consult based on their experience rather then cut off your nose to spite your face.

Faux "News", however, is supportive of Trump taking action.

House W/O reason + Politiks mashup

Is Peter Strzok a CIA Operative Who Grew Up in Iran and Was ‘Placed’ in the FBI to Help Hillary Clinton?

This from the Big League Politics blog that Snopes sadly has as "Unproven". Sad because there are no counter facts to verify, so they cannot just smash it as false because it is so outlandish. It cannot meet a provably false measure without validating Strzok's employment, any Obama (cue sirens and whistles now) interaction, possible Clinton handshake, or the deep state.

Insanity?!?! Gotcha.

NBC/WSJ poll: Support for Roe v. Wade hits new high
A new poll from NBC News and the Wall Street Journal finds that 71 percent of American voters believe that the decision, which established a woman’s legal right to an abortion, should not be overturned. Just 23 percent say the ruling should be reversed.

That’s the highest level of support for the decision — and the lowest share of voters who want Roe v. Wade overturned — in the poll’s history dating back to 2005. In 1989, according to Gallup’s survey, 58 percent said they believed it should stay in place while 31 percent disagreed.

Those supporting the ruling include 88 percent of Democrats, 76 percent of independents and a majority — 52 percent — of Republicans. About four-in-ten Republicans — 39 percent — say that Roe v. Wade should be overturned.

Voters also say that they are more likely to vote for a political candidate who supports abortion rights rather than for one who opposes them. Forty-four percent of voters said they would be more likely to vote for a pro-abortion-rights candidate, while 26 percent said they would be more likely to support a candidate who backs restrictions on abortions. About three-in-ten — 29 percent — said that a candidate’s views on abortion would make no difference to their vote choice.

it is rather unfortunate that the majority is not currently represented in government.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!!

And yet, he wants to start a cyber security task force with them.

I hate to keep defending Sessions, but I don't think it is him "chanting" it more reacting and laughing at/with it. He wasn't like Mike Flynn at the RNC.

One step closer to Trump declaring martial law. Once he gets Kavanaugh confirmed there will be no check on his doing so.

Trump just announced that he misspoke in that last sentence. He meant to say "they definitely DO want Trump".

The Trump administration is planning to ease fears of a trade war by announcing Tuesday about $12 billion in aid to farmers hurt by retaliatory tariffs, according to three sources familiar with the plan.

...

Trump's moves to slap tariffs on imports from some of America‘s largest foreign buyers have prompted retaliation against U.S. farm goods like pork, beef, soybeans, sorghum and a range of fruits. The administration's trade aid plan is also a bid to shore up support among a slice of the rural electorate ahead of the midterm elections.

Buying some votes. Paying people not to work, and perhaps paying them well. Where is this couch cushion change coming from? Its only $12B. Good free market trader there helping out his self reliant constituents.

That is pretty close to just about everything the GOP says it is against.

Good news, there are hats: “Make Our Farmers Great Again.”

I just don't get how the dude even has a constituency left. He has literally made nobody any better off. The business community hates him for this senseless trade war.
