Huzzah. I have reservation about how it was implemented, and about how its stated aims are contradictory, but ffs, get on with it.

“The president just looked right back at [Putin] and with the same straight face... basically sent a message: ’If you can sit here and tell me that with a straight face and that’s what it takes it to move forward in other negotiations, I most certainly can match you on this, and in fact I can stand here and say, ‘Of course you didn’t do it,’ even though we all know that [you did].’”

“The reality is,‘I know you did it, you know you did it, and you know that I know that you did it.’ So to me, Mr. Putin tried to tell the whopper with a straight face and President Trump basically laid out, ‘You wanna play that game? Fine. I can do the same thing because we all know you did.’”

“I can’t come up with another ― we’re all trying to find a reason why the president would have done it. And this is the only logical explanation I can come up with it,”

Mike Rounds on his theory of Trump as a fourth-dimensional chess master

Well, that logic certainly makes it hard to figure out.

Or the much more likely explanation, Trump is a complete wimp whenever he's confronted face to face

More four-dimensional chess from the Administration:

Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump was asked by a reporter if Russia was still targeting the US. "No," he responded, looking directly at the reporter.

Asked about the comment later, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said the President was declining to answer shouted questions when he said "no," and not disputing intelligence findings. "The President said 'thank you very much' and said no to answering questions," Sanders said. "The President and his administration are working very hard to make sure Russia is unable to meddle in our elections." She said Trump does believe Russia poses a current threat. "We certainly believe that we are taking steps to make sure they can't do it again," she added.

Stormy Daniels changed positions less often than Trump has on Russia's involvement in our elections.

I think he wants them handed over to arrest them.

Are you fucking kidding me?

I heard Bill Brauder on NPR today saying that there is no way in hell that he has a sit down with Uncle Vladimir, but then qualifies it that he has been a citizen of the UK for almost 30 years so tough luck Don.

With this Administration "entertaining" the idea of sending Americans to Russia in some kind of prisoner exchange program, we should all be left to wonder what exactly is a bridge too far for Republicans. "Interesting idea"? Wow.

Keeping it real:

68% of polled republicans support/approve of Trump's handling of Putin & the summit
21% disapprove
11% are asleep

So there will be no push back from the GOP because 68% approve, and they want to keep their jobs. Those poll numbers are insane.

FWIW: Trump just tweeted, again, the the enemy of the people is the press.
