“I said the word ‘would’ instead of ‘wouldn’t,’” Trump told reporters at the White House, more than 24 hours after his appearance with Putin. “The sentence should have been, ‘I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be Russia.’”

Wouldn't would NOT... neither is credible, and he is definitely a liar. We all know he is a liar, its well documented. Now what about all those other defiant words that slid out of his mouth?

we will need to restore America after all this is over. we are losing ground on every front.

Yeah, for me it is an incredibly stupid excuse because his sudden acknowledgment of their meddling does not match the rest of what he said (nearly all of which was about Hillary Clinton's emails and the server anyway).

And keep in mind that gun ownership correlates strongly with Trump support. These millions of people who no longer accept objective realities (fake news) are heavily armed. The Republican Party has created a massive stealth militia of reactionaries who believe whatever they're told by their dear leader.

So during today’s whoops statement Trump apparently took out language saying that anyone involved in meddling should be brought to justice.

Love reading posts that transition seamlessly from bemoaning people who no longer accept objective reality to warning of the creation of a massive stealth militia.

Either way, the definitive double negative.

What about the current state of America and about American history makes you dismissive of the idea of violence from Trump supporters?

I know this may be difficult for you to accept, but the Republican Party (and its allied interest groups)...

1. ...Has become a wholly reactionary force. It is anti-democracy, engaging in widespread voter suppression while its leader praises dictators and oligarchs. It is anti-science, engaging in climate change denial and promoting widely discredited therapies. It engages in frequent racist dogwhistling. Trump is explicitly racist. He calls the free press the enemy of the American people. He called for violence against both protesters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIs2L2nUL-0 and his opponent in the 2016 election https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoX3JJECCaU/. 90% of Republicans approve of Trump's job performance https://news.gallup.com/poll/203198/presidential-approval-ratings-donald-trump.aspx.

2. ...Through public policy making across different levels of government and through control of the federal judiciary (Lopez, Heller, McDonald), has facilitated the armament of the American people. There are presently more guns than people in America (https://www.vox.com/2016/7/27/12123202/more-guns-than-people-america-charts). As I stated earlier, gun ownership is perhaps the number one predictor of Trump support (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/05/upshot/gun-ownership-partisan-divide.html). Most of these gun owners own multiple guns http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2017/06/22/americas-complex-relationship-with-guns/psdt_2017-06-22-guns-00-10/ The Republican Party and its allies in the gun manufacturing industry have engaged in racist fear mongering to drive up gun sales among the Party's almost all-white base (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3_5wZ982Ok&t=9s).

3. Frequently creates and runs ads that celebrate guns, shooting guns, and violence. Some examples are below. I could list many more, but I think you get the idea.
"Let's Do Some Damage" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0I2z9cCC9zs&t=3s
"Fight this Violence of Lies" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrnIVVWtAag
"Taking Aim" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf2Gai1uQYM
"Give Me a Shot" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrD-pfbEzgw&t=69s
"Jake" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ABRz_epvic

Looking at American history, its is readily apparent that when reactionary forces perceive a threat to their standing, violence results. Violence has been a reality of American political life throughout history, particularly if you are poor or a person of color. Furthermore, experts have noted a rise in right wing terrorism and extremism in recent years (http://www.start.umd.edu/news/proportion-terrorist-attacks-religious-and-right-wing-extremists-rise-united-states). Again, I could list probably a hundred examples here, but for the sake of brevity:
Wilmington Insurrection: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilmington_insurrection_of_1898
Thibodaux Massacre: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thibodaux_massacre
Ludlow Massacre: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludlow_Massacre
Red Summer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Summer
Ocoee Massacre https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocoee_massacre
Tulsa Race Riot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_riot
Murder of Civil Rights Workers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murders_of_Chaney,_Goodman,_and_Schwerner
Selma to Montgomery Marches: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selma_to_Montgomery_marches
Eric Rudolph: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Rudolph
Sikh Temple Shooting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Sikh_temple_shooting
JCC Shooting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overland_Park_Jewish_Community_Center_shooting
Charleston Church Shooting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charleston_church_shooting
Murder of Balbir Singh Sodhi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Balbir_Singh_Sodhi
Portland Train Attack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_train_attack

During the 2016 campaign, Trump told his supporters that if he loses, the election was rigged and told them to commit violence against Clinton. What is he going to tell them if he does lose in 2020? If you find this outlandish, I suggest that five years ago, you might have found the possibility of President Donald Trump discrediting his own intelligence agencies and standing with Vladimir Putin in a joint press conference a bit outlandish. If you don't see the possibilities for awful violence here, I don't know what to tell you.

Trump's interview with Tucker Carlson is out there. Can't imagine what it would be like if he actually held any sort of regular press availability to non Fox News personalities.
