Peter Strzok strongly denied bias influenced his investigation. How'd that go over?

 , of course it was. My point was just that Strzok tried the same tack but that didn't seem to work as well with Republicans. Also, saw this gem on Twitter:

@JohnBrennan
Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

I wonder if Putin gave Trump a raise and a bonus.

I really do wonder if there’s anything Trump could do which would cause this Republican to impeach him. Without exaggeration I truly believe if he handed Putin the football with the codes the Republicans still would not impeach him.

If weak-ass Obama had launch when he had the chance then there wouldn't have been a football to even give to Putin.

He's going to serve all four years. Everyone of them is a shame.

I don't think the ordinary american even understands what Russia represents. How can the leader of the free world not stand up for democracy and yet still have support with anyone?

He’s stands up with Putin, he’s just bends over at the waist.

A varying percentage of the US has routinely embraced authoritarianism.

It was reported December 14th, 2016 that Putin personally saw to the hacking:
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.

Putin's objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a "vendetta" against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to "split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn't depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore," the official said.

Ultimately, the CIA has assessed, the Russian government wanted to elect Donald Trump. The FBI and other agencies don't fully endorse that view, but few officials would dispute that the Russian operation was intended to harm Clinton's candidacy by leaking embarrassing emails about Democrats.

He admitted at today's presser that he wanted Donald Trump to win, corroborating this report.

Reporter:
Every US intelligence agency has concluded that Russia did it. What, Who...my first question for you, sir, is who do you believe? My second question is, would you now, with the whole world watching, tell President Putin would you denounce what happened in 2016 and warn him to never do it again?

Trump:
So let me just say that we have two thoughts: You have groups that are wondering why the FBI never took the server. Why haven’t they taken the server? Why was the FBI told to leave the office of the Democratic National Committee? I’ve been wondering that. I’ve been asking that for months and months, and I’ve been tweeting it out and calling it out on social media. Where is the server? I want to know where is the server and what is the server saying?

With that being said, all I can do is ask the question. People came to me, Dan Coats came to me and some others and they said they thinks its Russia. I have have President Putin, he just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be, but I really do want to see the server. But I have — I have confidence in both parties. I really believe that this will probably go on for a while, but I don't think it can go on without finding out what happened to the server. What happened to the servers of the Pakistani gentleman that worked on the DNC? Where are those servers? They're missing. Where are they? What happened to Hillary Clinton's emails? 33,000 emails gone, just gone. I think in Russia they wouldn't be gone so easily. I think its a disgrace that we can't get Hillary Clinton's 33,000 emails.

I have great confidence in my intelligence people but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today. And what he did is an incredible offer. He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators with respect to the 12 people. I think that's an incredible offer.
